InfiVR at Purdue University: Inspiring the Next Generation Through AI, AR & VR
Technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace, and today’s students will become tomorrow’s innovators. InfiVR is of the opinion that the best approach to educating future professionals is to let them experience emerging technologies instead of merely learning about them.
We recently had the opportunity to conduct an interactive AI, AR & VR session and workshop at Purdue University where students explored how immersive technologies are transforming industries worldwide. The session united those with a thirst for knowledge about the ways Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Digital Twins, and the Metaverse are making tangible impacts across various industries.
Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Industry
While the university’s classrooms offer a solid foundation, witnessing technology tackle real business challenges creates a whole new learning experience.
During the workshop, students explored how AI and immersive technologies are being used across industries such as aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and industrial safety. They acquired important knowledge about how these advancements are boosting safety, increasing productivity, and readying the workforce for the future through live demos, real-life instances, and interactive talks.

More Than a Workshop
The students, not just the technology, were what made the experience memorable.
Their thoughtful questions, curiosity, and enthusiasm turned every discussion into a meaningful two-way exchange of ideas. It was a strong reminder of the importance of programs like this when I saw students linking what we learned in class to real-world industry uses. The flame of innovation is lit by curiosity, and you could see that flame throughout the whole session.
